New Percussion Instruments
We recently ordered lots of new percussion instruments for the school such as triangles, agogos, tambourines, maracas and the much sought after rainsticks. The children have enjoyed using them and composing rhythms to play on them.
Music
Kilskyre NS has a wonderful boys and girls choir. The choir perform for our Christmas services and Communion service. Every second year the school performs a Christmas play with acting and singing. Last year the children performed the play Straw and Order which was a great success. The children from junior infants up to 6th class enjoyed this production thoroughly as well as the audience.
The children are also taught tin whistle from 1st class onwards as part of the music curriculum.
